Andrés Jana is a founding partner of Jana & Gil Dispute Resolution.
He is a lawyer, arbitrator, and international expert in commercial, investment, and public international law dispute resolution before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), under the international arbitration rules of the ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA, AAA, and SCC, among others. He has also appeared in local courts in various jurisdictions, such as Chile, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States, and Argentina.
He is Vice-President of the International Court of Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce (2021-2024) and Chair of Working Group II on Dispute Resolution before the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
He is a member of the ICSID panel of arbitrators, a member of the London Court of International Arbitration, a member of the SIAC Council, a member of the ICC Latin American Arbitration Group, and a founding member and vice president of the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB). He has been a professor of private law at the University of Chile since 1997.

- Representation of foreign investors, a Chilean/Swiss consortium, in an international investment arbitration under ICSID rules against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The dispute arose from the early termination of a 20-year concession contract for the Isla Margarita International Airport in Venezuela.
- Representation of a minority shareholder of SMU against another shareholder in a second ad hoc arbitration, for the exercise of an option right contained in the shareholders’ agreement.
- Representation of an autonomous public agency of the State of Panama against its contractor for the construction of the Panama Canal expansion in two ICC arbitrations.
- Advising a foreign construction company in an arbitration dispute before the Santiago Arbitration Center (CAM Santiago) regarding breach of contract for the construction of a thermoelectric power plant.
- Representation of a company that owns vehicle inspection facilities against its lessee in a CAM arbitration proceeding for breach of lease agreements and enforcement of a penalty clause.
- Representation of the State of Chile as defendant in an international investment arbitration under ICSID rules initiated against it by the Spanish fishing company Eduardo Vieira S.A., which was a partner in the Chilean company Concar, related to fishing rights in Chilean waters and the relevance of the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) between Chile and Spain.

Rodrigo Gil is a founding partner of Jana & Gil Dispute Resolution.
He is a professor of contract law and an expert in contractual disputes with more than 20 years of experience in conflict resolution under international commercial arbitration rules (ICC, UNCITRAL, SCC, AAA, CAM Santiago), ad hoc arbitration, and domestic arbitration (Chile).
He has extensive experience as lead counsel in numerous investment disputes under ICSID rules, defending both investors and States. He is a permanent advisor in complex cross-border disputes and transnational litigation.
Rodrigo is an expert in large-scale construction disputes (bridges, airports, power plants, mining infrastructure, highways, among others) and regularly advises domestic and foreign clients in disputes involving energy, mining, construction, infrastructure projects, and telecommunications, among others.
In addition to his intense practice as a litigator, Rodrigo also regularly acts as an arbitrator. He is an expert in civil law matters. He also participates in free competition disputes, complex civil conflicts, and litigation in support of arbitration.

Adrián
Schopf
Adrian Schopf is Of Counsel in the civil litigation and domestic and international arbitration practice.
He has extensive experience in contract law in the private sector, public procurement, shareholder disputes, and contractual conflicts related to construction, infrastructure, mining, and energy, among others.
He teaches contract law, tort law, civil liability, and specialized subjects at Adolfo Ibáñez University and the University of Chile, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is the author of numerous articles and publications in specialized books and journals.

Cristóbal Vergara González rejoins Jana & Gil Dispute Resolution as a Senior Associate, returning to the domestic and international arbitration team after graduating with honors with an LL. M. from Columbia University, New York, where he received the Parker School Recognition of Achievement in International and Comparative Law.
He has extensive experience in international litigation and arbitration under ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL rules, as well as in local arbitrations administered by CAM Santiago. He has acted as counsel and tribunal secretary in multiple proceedings and was recognized by Legal 500 as a Leading Associate in arbitration and litigation.
His notable cases include representing state entities in international disputes involving infrastructure concessions and natural resources, as well as advising mining companies in arbitration proceedings related to electricity supply contracts and share purchases.
In academia, he has been a research assistant at Columbia Law School with professors George Bermann and Kabir Duggal, as well as an assistant in the Private Law Department at the University of Chile. He is also the author of several publications in international legal journals, with a special focus on commercial and investment arbitration.
